Meet Dempsey, a sweet and young 7-month-old Pitbull puppy who was left abandoned outside a store in Georgia by his owner. Luckily, the Pitbull rescue group, Friends to the Forlorn, was alerted to Dempsey’s situation about two and a half weeks ago. He was found tied up outside a grocery store with a scruffy appearance, but many passersby were afraid to approach him. Sadly, his owner hasn’t been seen since. Fortunately, Dempsey has now been rescued and is recovering well.
Initially, a Pitbull named Dempsey received medical attention and care at Dekalb County Animal Services before being transferred to Friends to the Forlorn, an organization based in Atlanta. Stacey Greenwald, one of the organization’s dedicated volunteers, took care of Dempsey by giving him a medicated bath and antibiotics. According to Greenwald, who has been helping dogs for seven years, love and dedication are the most important medicine, and Dempsey responded well to both. In just three weeks, Dempsey’s condition improved remarkably, and he transformed from a miserable, mangy dog to a playful, friendly companion who enjoys running around with his new friends. In fact, Dempsey stands out among Greenwald’s 30 pets as the most remarkable success story.
