Last year in a neighborhood of Montreal, Steph and Francis stumbled upon a delightful sight. They noticed a pair of shining eyes peeking out from under their neighbor’s balcony. Upon closer inspection, they were delighted to discover an adorable litter of kittens playing around their mother and her third kitten.
The kittens eagerly gobbled up the food that Steph had provided without any hesitation, while their mother slowly overcame her apprehension and joined in to satisfy her hunger. Despite her fears, her appetite was stronger and she ended up eating until she was full.
Steph sprang into action when she noticed one of the kittens dangerously close to the road. She rescued it promptly, causing the other two to scurry back to their hiding spot. The following day, Steph came prepared with a humane trap and managed to catch the tabby mother within an hour. With the mother safely in tow, they rounded up the remaining kittens and took the four-member feline family to a nearby rescue center.
Madison, the mother cat, had a timid disposition but was kind in nature. She was taken in by Sadja and Charlotte and placed in foster care with her kittens to help them learn how to socialize. At first, Madison would hide between the wall and bed to avoid being seen, but her kittens adapted quickly to life indoors.
