He made the choice to save him from a hazardous situation, but now he finds himself encircled by unconditional affection.
Griffon, a stray dog who had lost all hope of finding a loving home, was lucky enough to be rescued by a kind-hearted man on a foreign naval base. Despite being just six months old, Griffon had been surviving on the streets for a long time, until he stumbled upon the naval base and caught the attention of a U.S. Naval Commander. The Commander recognized the danger of Griffon being alone in such a hostile environment and decided to take him under his wing, motivated by the motto of his unit, “Those who arrive alive, leave alive.” Paws of War, a nonprofit organization that provides service dogs to first responders and veterans, shared this heartwarming story on their Facebook page.
Griffon quickly became the talk of the base as everyone expressed a desire to meet him. According to reports, the Commander formed an unbreakable bond with the pup and has since taken him under his wing. Griffon is now considered a part of the Commander’s family and brings joy to everyone he meets. Although details are scarce, it has been confirmed that the hero commander plans to adopt Griffon and bring him back home with him to the United States. The Paws of War spokeswoman, Gary Baumann, has assured the public that the Commander and Griffon will be reunited soon.
