Shanna Moakler has made allegations against her former spouse, Travis Barker, claiming that he is engaging in womanizing behavior and using lavish gifts and extravagant experiences to win over their children, which she herself cannot afford to do.
The 48-year-old supermodel, who shares an 18-year-old daughter named Alabama and a 20-year-old son named Landon with her partner, the 48-year-old musician from Blink-182, is not holding back when it comes to expressing her anger towards him. Additionally, Travis is also a stepfather to her 24-year-old daughter named Atiana, whom she had with her previous partner, Oscar De La Hoya.
In a recent episode of the Dumb Blonde podcast hosted by Bunnie XO, the Playboy model expressed her strong dissatisfaction towards Travis. She openly accused him of having both a drinking problem and addiction, which she believes greatly affected their relationship. Shanna did not hold back, also criticizing the Kardashian family, particularly Travis’ wife, Kourtney, describing them as “disgusting.”
Travis was accused by her of engaging in ‘parental alienation’ when he started dating the Poosh founder, who happens to be the mother of his new baby, Rocky Thirteen. She expressed her frustration, saying, ‘You’re appalling. I distanced myself so that they wouldn’t establish a bond with my children based on their hatred towards me. Go ahead and do whatever you need to do, and when you’re ready, I’ll be here to love you unconditionally,’ she affirmed. ‘I’ll continue being your mother and I’ll patiently wait for you.’ Furthermore, she mentioned how there are individuals who hold negative views about that family, refrain from watching their show, and couldn’t care less about Kim Kardashian’s actions involving her buttocks.
Shanna, who was formerly married to Travis from 2004 to 2008, alleges that Travis flaunts his wealth in front of their children in order to appear as the superior parent. According to her, even when they were not together, Travis always strived to be the “super dad” and claim superiority by asserting himself as the best parent due to his financial status. Shanna expresses her frustration by acknowledging Travis as the winner in this situation, as he possesses all the money and resources. Additionally, she believes that her children have become entangled in the glitz and fame of Travis’s famous family, making it impossible for her to ever compete on that level.
She continued speaking, expressing her thoughts on the matter. She believed that her children were enticed by the glamour and fame they had witnessed on television, especially since their father was now dating a famous personality and they were going to appear on a show. Understandably, young kids can easily get caught up in such things. Their father was showering them with expensive gifts like Prada items and taking them to lavish events where they would meet influential celebrities like Kanye West. Unfortunately, she couldn’t provide them with the same luxurious lifestyle. She didn’t have the means or access to such opulence. She couldn’t afford to buy them Prada products every other week or give them extravagant experiences. Her house was far from a mansion like her ex-partner’s. She didn’t have a luxurious movie theatre or golf carts for her children to enjoy.
